Eggs

What do you get when you have an 8mm camera with 3 minutes of tape, 48 hours to shoot, no editting, and 136 eggs? You get the short film Eggs that we shot this weekend with Eggman extraordinaire Richard Ricks. Will it be playing at SXSW? We don't know yet but keep your eyes peeled!

Website Is UP!

As promised, the Web site has been delivered. So, there's still a few issues. Like being image heavy. Like not allowing expanding of pictures. Like not containing Meta tags. OK. So, I was ina serious rush. But, at least you have something new to look at. :)

UPDATE

So. Due to yet another series of events, I don't have a ton to report for this week. Yes, the Website is coming. Yes, I'm running behind. No, I haven't forgotten. Yes, it will be up very very soon. No, I'm not on vacation. OK. So. We have new business cards! Actually, Rhonda has new business cards. Though I don't have a digital copy to post at the moment, let me assure you these things kick ass. Ever see American Psycho? Remember when they are all showing off their business cards? Well, this leaves them all far, far, far behind. A little texture. A little weight. Great picture. I mean, Rhonda has a unique face after all. And those eyes. Killer.

Also, pictures are getting ready for the studio. Or, the studio is getting ready for the pictures. Or maybe, we are getting the studio and the pictures for the studio ready. Things are looking good and Cars will be coming soon.

A New Week

OK! So, due to a series of unrelated (though not unfortunate) events last week and this weekend, I didn't accomplish any of my goals for last week except those I had already done when I pushed out the list. OUCH! However, I did test the camera for a little stop animation and guess what? Not a problem. We can bring them in, resize them in batch, and everything works like a charm. EXCELLENT! Also, C&R have been working hard to bring some of our photos into the studio. Can't wait to get it in here.

Let's bring the list to 2 Dos over from last week and review:
See about payment on the CC
Get the kitchen area cleared out (please!)
Build the website and push out into the real world
Look at labeling the video tapes and think about storage for them

Wish me luck!

Happy Groundhog's Day

Can you guess what today is??? Hmmmmmm... Its MY BIRTHDAY!! And as it is my birthday and all, I'd like to make an annoucement. LettuceTurnip is going to Ireland!!!! That's right, we're going to Ireland to shoot a short film on June 23rd (as of now). I can't actually say what it will be about just yet, but its gonna be GREAT! We should be returning around July 2nd.

Dinner Meeting

Rhonda cooked up some serious food for an old fashion vegetarian meal this evening for our LettuceTurnip meeting (aka my birthday dinner). With fresh asparagus, hot bread, mash potatoes (maybe she'll blog the recipe some time) , and oh so tasty I Can't Believe It's Not A Rib, you wish birthday's were more often.

Cool new things on our list of 2 dos:
Cars - a new film starring our beloved Richard Ricks
Untitled - possibility for a film/short documentary of a local comedian

I also got thumbs up on a website design. EXCELLENT. I'll see if I can't upload an image of the up and coming.

We're also taking stock of our clutter! That's right. Time to backup a few thousand photos, label our assortment of videos, and dust ourselves off in anticipation of a great year. We've found Photoshop Album in my assortment of software (I think it came with the slide scanner) and that should help us categorize/sort/sift our enormous number of photos. I still have loads of stuff left over from my recent move (was it way back in November?) in my kitchen waiting to find a place in my house or end up over at Chris and Rhonda's garage. That's also on the list of things to do.

My LT week priorities:
Design the new website (already done!)
Get approval or make changes based on Chris and Rhonda discussion (excellent! they liked it!)
Get the blog up (already done!)
Blog this week's events (hmmm... that's what I'm doing now.)
See about payment on the CC
Get the kitchen area cleared out (please!)
Build the website and push out into the real world
Look at labeling the video tapes and thinking about storage for them

OK. That's a wrap for one evening. Tune in again soon for further updates.

Blog Has Been Created

As I started working on the website late last night, I started to think about Chris's idea for a biweekly or monthly newsletter that people would subscribe to and pay for. This newsletter would keep them up to date on all things LettuceTurnip, show our latest photos in beautiful printed greatness, and provide a little additional stream of cash.

BUT can we get people to signup and pay for a newsletter? My guess is not quite yet. Instead, we can use Blogger in conjuction with its picture posting sister to put up our latest and greatest. And greater still, Chris, Rhonda, and I can do it all independently of one another. GREAT!

We'll change the format soon to make it look better.
